Petition to the Supervisors of Mendocino County

We, people of Mendocino, with our signature on this form, ask the County of Mendocino to strengthen its Investment Policy to further support humanity and the planet. The current policy reads, “Investments are discouraged in entities that receive a significant portion of their revenues from the manufacturer of tobacco products, firearms, or weapons not used in our national defense.” We want the word “discouraged” replaced with “prohibited.” Our County should be a model of sustainable investing by taking immediate action to divest from companies in its portfolio that do not meet the aforementioned criteria.
